Reviews and Ratings
I was a bit dissatisfied with my room, starting cold, but it was clean and comfortable considering the location on a busy main road. The food was great, but there were maintenance issues with light bulbs and hot water. The service was the friendliest I've experienced, with extremely efficient and helpful staff. The location was good for me, convenient for my visits in the area, and even accommodating to my dogs. The dining experience was good overall, with a decent choice. The facilities were satisfactory, but there were some maintenance concerns.
The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of Hay on Wye, making it convenient to explore nearby attractions. The rooms were small and tired, unfortunately affected by noise from the billiard room. The service was incredibly helpful and welcoming, but the hot weather made the stay a bit uncomfortable. The dining experience was exceptional with freshly cooked meals. A lovely location with a few drawbacks.
The hotel is nestled in a quiet location by the river, great for exploring nearby attractions like Hay-on-Wye and Hereford. The room, though set up for one person only, was peaceful with a separate toilet. The friendly service provided excellent local recommendations, but the dining options could be more varied.
